Get the elevation of any location on Earth. Click anywhere on the map to drop a pin and instantly see its elevation above sea level, sourced from SRTM digital elevation data (~30m resolution). This tool is in beta and still under active development — expect rough edges and occasional changes as it improves. Elevation lookups are served through a free public data provider with a shared daily quota, so during high-traffic periods a lookup may occasionally fail or be delayed; repeated lookups of the same area are cached and unaffected. Ocean and other areas without land elevation data will show "no data" instead of a value.
